ShaQuilla Simmons is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of psychiatric nursing experience. She has worked with adults and individuals in crisis before transitioning into her advanced practice role.

She works with individuals aged 18–64 experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use, adjustment disorders, and life transitions. Many feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, while others seek clarity around ongoing symptoms or support for more complex conditions.

Care begins with a comprehensive psychiatric assessment, followed by a personalized plan that may include psychotherapy, medication management, or both. Treatment focuses on stabilizing symptoms, improving emotional regulation, and building practical coping strategies, with ongoing follow-up support.

Her approach is collaborative and individualized, focusing on symptom relief, emotional stability, and long-term improvement through structured, evidence-based care. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and culturally sensitive, strength-based approaches.
